(WDLB) -Voters in the Marshfield school district will be asked in November to approve a three-and-a-half million dollar referendum.Board member Kajal Sitwala explained to her colleagues on the Board of Education last night that the referendum, if approved, would replace an existing three-million dollar referendum which expires at the end of the upcoming school year. Sam Steiner said the financial impact would only amount to a small increase from what taxpayers are currently covering on the existing referendum.
If approved, the referendum would allow the district to exceed state revenue limits to keep current programs going at their existing funding levels. More information on the referendum will be coming out in the near future.
