(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Agricultural producers of any kind are now able to apply for the second round of the Wisconsin Farm Support Program, as long as they have not received funding during the first sign-up period last month.State Agricultural Secretary Randy Romanski says the Department of Revenue is taking online applications through August 24 in an effort to disburse the remaining $8.4 million still available to struggling farmers from the federal CARES Act. Farmers whose gross income ranged between $10,000 to $5 million during the 2019 tax year are eligible to apply, based on Schedule F, Line 9 on their tax forms.
Payout will then be determined based on the tier of income that the applicant falls under. During the first round of payments, $41.6 million was distributed to nearly 12,000 farmers in 71 Wisconsin counties. The link to the DOR's application is: https://revenue.wi.gov.
