Coronavirus Numbers for August 5th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 928,845 negative cases, 56,056 positive cases (an increase of 728 over yesterday) and 961 deaths, an increase of 12 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 4,783, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 181 positive cases and 3,553 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 212 positive and 9,974 negative, Eau Claire has 517 positive and 14,025 negative and Jackson has 49 positive and 5,161 negative.
Also, Wood has 255 positive and 9,013 negative, Marathon has 589 positive and 12,308 negative and Taylor has 55 positive and 1,745 negative. Clark County has had 7 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 7 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 3 people die from the virus. Jackson and Wood have had one person die from the virus.
