'THE NIGHTMARE' MUST GO ON

Organizers of ?The Nightmare? got quite a scare, but the show will go on. This is the ninth year the haunted house-like production will be held at the Orbital in Marshfield.?The Nightmare? is a maze-like production meant to scare kids into making good decisions by using theatre and a barrage of audio and visual effects to demonstrate the scary path a wrong turn may lead to.
Scheduled to start last Friday, organizers recently learned The Orbital, which also serves as the Believers? Church youth building, violated some codes.
"We were praying," admits organizer Stacy Remus. "We didn't come this far to get the door slammed in our face."
?The Nightmare? is a huge undertaking involving many youth from around the area. Up to 14,000 people are expected to see it.
"Every night, it takes 300 volunteers," Remus says.
After initially pulling their advertising, Nightmare crewmembers were able to bring the building back into code compliance, and the show will happen as planned.
