Neillsville School Board Approves Number of Invites for Next Week's Graduation Ceremony

-The Neillsville School Board approved the number of invites for graduation at their meeting on Monday.The board approved four invitees per graduate at the July 31st graduation ceremony and to strongly recommend the wearing of masks for students and attendees. Superintendent John Gaier also presented a proposal for reopening for the fall semester. The board also approved the curriculum updates for social studies, science, business education, and English, with modifications as presented and approved the yearbook prices for the 2020-2021 school year as presented. The board also approved keeping meal prices the same and increasing milk prices from $.30 to $.35 for the 2020-2021 school year, approved the middle school handbook for the 2020-2021 school year, with modifications as presented and approved the high school handbook for the 2020-2021 school year as presented.
The board then approved the academic standards, educational options, and school performance report for 2020-2021 as presented and approved the Capstone Project for the 2020-2021 school year as presented. The board also approved the Staff Handbook for the 2020-2021 school year as presented, approved the annual meeting agenda for August 31st and approved the membership for the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance for the 2020-2021 school year. Finally, the board approved the donation of $500 from Lorna and Owe Petersen for delivery of meals and Superintendent Gaier provided an update on building and grounds’ projects.
