Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Julie VanArk reported on the start up of summer school. Their numbers are down because they have not provided transportation this summer due to COVID-19, eliminating many of the rural students. July 20 and 21, the Elementary PLC Leadership team will be participating in the First Conference and developing their plans for the 2020-21 school year. Middle School/High School Principal Mr. Cihlar reported on the individual staff meetings he has been doing with each teacher so that he can meet them and put a name with a face.
Football camp started on Monday and runs through the end of the week. Girls basketball will be running a camp the week of July 20 for girls in grades 5-8. Finally, District Administrator Bob Houts reported the meetings with RW Baird to talk about tax impact of the referendum, consolidating debt to reduce the districts costs and the interest rate on a loan for the referendum project. He will be meeting with Forward Bank this week to discuss many of the same issues.
