Marshfield Teen Sentenced for Bomb Threat at the Marshfield School District

-One of two Marshfield teens facing charges for bomb threats made at the Marshfield High School was sentenced in Wood County Court.Back on December 9th of last year, administration at the Marshfield High School was told about a bomb threat on a bathroom stall by Alyssa Portz. Similar threats were written in bathrooms throughout the high school. After questioning, Portz admitted to authorities that she and Simone Rootellis wrote the threats to get out of class. During Rootellis’ recent court appearance, she was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, three counts of intentionally giving false alarm.
She was sentenced to 14 days jail time as well as 200 hours of community service. If she doesn’t successfully complete that, she will be on probation for 2 years. Back in May Portz entered a guilty plea to three charges of intentionally giving false alarm. She received the same sentence as Rootellis.
