Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 -- 8:40 AM
In light of the high price of gas, the Neillsville City Council nudged up some taxi rates Tuesday night. Mark Jones of Abby Vans, who is contracted to run the popular Share Ride program, said the taxi continues to be extremely popular in the area ? but gas prices are a bit of a concern. The City Council raised the mileage rate, which applies to any trip over 5.9-miles from $1 to $1.25; the adult fair was also nudged up a quarter to $3 but the $1.50 senior and child rate was left as is.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
