Thorp Man Appears in Clark County Court for Sexual Assault of a Child

-A Thorp man facing charges of sexual assault of a child appeared in Clark County Court on Tuesday.Jacob Dietrich allegedly assaulted a girl under the age of 11. The assaults began last summer and Dietrich had turned himself in and admitted to authorities that he touched the girl inappropriately. Dietrich is being charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. During his preliminary hearing on Tuesday, probable cause was found so his court proceedings will continue.
His arraignment was set for August 17th. He has a $5,000 bond set against him. If convicted and sentenced to the maximum amount, he could face 60 years in prison.
