Loyal School Board Discusses Employment Matters

-The Loyal School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting last week.The board approved the hiring of Megan Dieckman, who has previous experience with director of special ed instruction and school administration, in a Loyal/Granton shared agreement as Special Ed Pupil Services coordinator. She will take over some of the duties previously performed by their school psych. A Title 1 position offer was made to an exceptional junior high teacher with English and Math experience. They are awaiting acceptance of the contract before releasing the applicant’s name. All Fall coaches recommended by ADs and administration were approved. The Summer Rec Coordinator position is posted this week in the TRG.
Because of the timing Mr. Lindner was given permission to hire. Future openings will be posted before administrative recommendations will be approved by the board. Finally, Deb Delyea has been their Director for Special Ed. Previously she was hired through CESA 10 but now Loyal and Owen Withee decided to contract her directly through a shared agreement. Deb will be in Loyal two days per week and in OW the other 3.
