GREENWOOD SCHOOL BOARD DROPS ROOF CONTRACTOR
Thursday, September 15th, 2005 -- 11:34 AM
Citing trust issues, the Greenwood School board decided to release the contractor who had been working with them on a leaky roof. Sections of the High School roof have been compromised and the school board had hired O?Donnell Engineering to explore repair possibilities. Interim Superintendent Marcia Hochalter tells WCCN the board dropped O?Donnell last night and agreed to contact at least two other contractors to inspect the roof and present repair proposals. Currently, only one section of the roof is leaking. Hochalter says the board may elect to spread the roof repairs over two fiscal years. Former superintendent John Eitenmiller was told repairs on the roof could cost up to $300,000. Some board members felt that amount was too high.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
