We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 377,362 negative tests, 22,246 positive cases (an increase of 320 over yesterday) and 689 deaths, an increase of 7 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 3,003, or 13%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 50 positive cases and 1,595 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 64 positive and 3,643 negative, Eau Claire has 130 positive and 6,326 negative, Jackson has 21 positive and 1,731 negative, Wood has 15 positive and 2,891 negative, Marathon has 80 positive and 4,550 negative and Taylor has 2 positive cases and 724 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon, Jackson and Wood Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
