Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an update on the pipe break over the Memorial Day Weekend. Repairs are well underway. Also, the fence in front of the school has been removed and landscaping has been completed. He thanked Tim Raese for donating his time to help complete this project. The district will also continue to provide meals for children 18 and under during the summer. Distribution will now be on Mondays and Wednesdays. Finally, ARC reading units have been ordered for grades 9-10. At present, Summer School is on hold. Athletic Director/Dean of Students Jenny Mayenschein provided an update on WIAA spring sports.
Also, WIAA has extended the alternate year physical card due to difficulties for athletes accessing medical providers during COVID-19. She also indicated that the WIAA sent out a clarification communication regarding fall sports following a news report that presented information out of context causing confusion. Finally, Board member Mark Shain provided a CESA update. CESA is offering their services for purchasing PPEs and any maintenance issues.
