Greenwood School Board Approves Virtual/Drive-Up Graduation Ceremony for this Saturday

-The Greenwood School Board approved lunch prices at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the 2020-2021 School Breakfast and Lunch Prices. The only increase in price is the Adult Breakfast price will be raised from $1.90 to $2.10. The board received an update on the status of final 2019-2020 Budget transfers and the 2020-2021 Budget from Ms. Zimmer. The board also approved an amended 2020-2021 school year calendar with an 8/17/20 start date and the board approved the rescheduling of the Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony to Saturday, June 13th. The ceremony will be presented via Zoom with a drive-up to receive diplomas. The board also approved the 2020-2021 WIAA Membership Renewal, the 3-Year Review of the Athletic Code, the Elementary School and Middle/High School Student/Parent Handbooks for 2020-21 and the Year-end AGR Report from Mr. Green. The board also approved the New Teacher & Mentor Handbook, the Coaches/Advisors Handbook with the new Coach Evaluation Form and they received an update on 2020-2021 staffing from District Administrator Todd Felhofer.
The board also reviewed a First Reading of the selected Policies 0000-2000 of the 29-1 Update, received an update on the progress/status of summer projects, discussed the opening of school buildings and school grounds and extended the closure of school buildings until July 13th. The board will re-evaluate the situation at that time. The board approved the opening the Tennis Courts, playground, and greenspaces, approved the transfer of Amanda Schlough from Kindergarten teacher to Reading teacher beginning in 2020-21 and approved a salary increase of $1,000 for each administrator for 2020-21.
