Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 303,332 negative tests, 20,249 positive cases (an increase of 357 over yesterday) and 633 deaths, an increase of 7 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 2,791, or 14%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 39 positive cases and 1,370 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 58 positive and 3,152 negative, Eau Claire has 119 positive and 5,560 negative, Jackson has 17 positive and 1,423 negative, Wood has 11 positive and 2,485 negative, Marathon has 57 positive and 3,419 negative and Taylor has 2 positive cases and 541 negative. Even with everything going on, the State Department of Health and Human Services wants to remind you that the coronavirus is still here and still highly contagious. No matter what you’re doing, they ask you to wear a mask, wash/sanitize your hands and try to keep six feet between you and others.
