The Clark County Sheriff?s Department is investigating an alleged incident involving ?inappropriate touching? at the county fair.In a case with similarities to a sexual assault at the 2003 Loyal Cornfest, authorities are looking into claims that two girls, ages six and seven, were touched inappropriately by a 16-year old Chippewa Falls boy who was operating the slide at the carnival. The alleged incidents happened on Friday night.
Indianhead Amusements supplied the carnival at this year?s fair. They were also the carnival-provider at the 2003 Loyal Cornfest where Joseph Johnson, a Glenwood City man operating a mini-rollercoaster ride, was accused and later convicted of sexually assaulting numerous young girls.
The alleged perpetrator in this latest incident is free and the case will go through the juvenile court system.
