Local Resident Starts Fun Project to Recognize Neillsville High School Seniors
Thursday, April 30th, 2020 -- 10:48 AM
-A local resident is doing something fun for Seniors at Neillsville High School. The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, has started a Facebook page asking community members to pull together and “adopt” a Senior and show them support. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Wisconsin schools were closed for the remainder of the year and many high school seniors didn’t get to enjoy the usual end of year activities nor were they able to receive the recognition they deserve. According to a post on the group’s Facebook page, “With our Seniors not getting to experience their "lasts" this year, help me make this last month one to remember. For the next month let's send our seniors small items such as snacks, cards, gift cards, or anything that you feel they may like. Let them know that we are here to support them.”
Some Seniors have already been adopted. If you’d like to learn more about the group and participate, you can find the page on Facebook under ”Adopt a Class of 2020 Senior-Neillsville High School".
