Neillsville School Board Takes Care of Organizational Matters at Monday Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board took care of organizational matters at their meeting Monday afternoon.Monday was the first meeting after the recent election. The board welcomed their newly elected member Paul Opelt. They then approved Dewey Poeschel as Board President, Sue Voigt as Board Vice-President, Peggy Grap as Treasurer and Deanna Heiman as Clerk. The board then selected Dewey Poeschel as the TIF Delegate for the board, Deanna Heiman as the CESA 10 Delegate, Paul Opelt as the WASB Delegate and Peggy Grap as the Alternate WASB Delegate. For other agenda items, the district still hasn’t received a Health Services Contract from Marshfield Clinic Health Systems, so they were unable to act on that item.
The board then approved the bus bid from Mid-State Truck for $86,720 with a trade in value of $1,500, with the final cost coming to $85,220. This beat the other bid from Wisconsin Bus Sales at $87,160 with a trade in value of $1,000 with the final cost coming to $86,160. The board also approved the track upgrade. They approved American Asphalt to pulverize the old track at a cost of $85,325 and AFT to rubberize the track at a cost of $68,000.
