Resolutions on Clark County Board of Supervisors Agenda Deal With County Trail Systems

Friday, April 24th, 2020 -- 9:07 AM

-The resolutions on the Clark County Board of Supervisors’ agenda on Tuesday dealt with the county trail systems.

The board approved a grant application for the Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trail. Along with volunteers, the county maintains 12 miles of highway motorcycle trails. This grant could provide $13,294.40 to help maintain that trail. The board also approved another grant application for the Kuhl Bridge on county snowmobile trails. This grant would provide $60,000 to replace the bridge in an area that was made impassable due to flood damage. The board approved another grant that would place a bridge on county snowmobile trails. It would be at County Road K and 153 Bridge. The grant would provide $83,000 to place the bridge that had to be relocated due to an adjacent property.

The board approved another grant application to build 4.93 miles of new snowmobile trails on Colby Trail CM. The grant is for $2,465. Finally, the board approved the 2nd reading of an ordinance, making it law, that any riding an ATV/UTV is not allowed to ride with an open intoxicant. The original ordinance passed allowing ATV/UTV use on highway didn’t address that problem.
