Clark County Chapter of Friends of the Black River Changing Spring Clean Up
Monday, April 20th, 2020 -- 10:32 AM
-The Clark County Chapter of the Friends of the Black River will be conducting their spring clean up a little differently this year. They had scheduled their annual spring shoreline cleanup of the Black River for this Saturday, April 25th, from 9am-Noon in Clark County. To comply with COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing, they are canceling their group event. Instead, they offer you the opportunity to pick a stretch of shoreline, your favorite spot, or roadside segment, and do it yourself. With the 50th anniversary of Earth Day this Wednesday, April 22, they encourage you to conduct your cleanup on or close to that day and take photos.
Please observe strict distancing guidelines, use tick spray, gloves and wear bright clothing. Contact Dan Moore, 715-937-5097 to let him know your location and plans; he has kindly offered to pick up the trash you collect. Everyone with the Friends of the Black River-Clark County organizing committee thank you for your ongoing support and interest in helping them educate the community about our essential River and improve it. They hope you and your families stay healthy.
