Look for the Helpers: Kevin and Tabitha Hanson
Friday, April 10th, 2020 -- 10:53 AM
-“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”Those are the inspiring words to Mr. Rogers from his mother, so we’re going to try and find the helpers. Today, we look at a couple from Colby. Kevin and Tabitha Hanson have a small community library available for people to check out books. During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve turned it into a little food pantry and anyone is welcome to come and pick up items if they are in need. You can find the little pantry at the corner of Clark and 2nd Street in Colby.
This may be a stressful situation for everyone, but we will get through this. Let's all work together and help each other along as we take the current situation day-by-day. And, if possible, make sure you continue to support our local businesses. They’re going to need our support now more than ever. If you know of someone who’s going above and beyond to help the community during this difficult time and would like them to be acknowledged for their work, please send me an email with details to [email protected].
