Stabbing Suspect Appears in Marathon County Court

(Marshfield News Herald) -A Marathon County circuit court judge set a $5 million bond Wednesday afternoon for a man police say was involved in a stabbing Tuesday near Stratford that left two people dead.Brandon D. Noll, 22, of Spencer, remains at the Marathon County Jail on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide, according to the jail log. Noll's next court appearance is scheduled for April 17. Marathon County sheriff's deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol and Stratford police responded Tuesday to a report of a stabbing near County P in Stratford, according to the sheriff's office. There police found two men who had been stabbed. One died at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries around 6 p.m., according the sheriff's office. Noll fled the scene by vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. He crashed the vehicle and stole another vehicle from Quality Roofing in Marshfield, police said Tuesday. He then led police on a high-speed chase after they found him in the village of Spencer.
Police disabled Noll's vehicle by deflating the tires, and a State Patrol trooper stopped it near the 400 block of West Veterans Parkway in Marshfield. The trooper was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released, according to the sheriff’s office. The State Patrol, Marshfield and Spencer police and Wood County sheriff's deputies were involved in the arrest. Authorities are waiting to release the names of the victims until family and friends have been notified.
