Coronavirus Numbers for December 2nd

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,173 positive cases.  Of those, 338 are currently active and 160 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 41 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,256 positive cases.  Wood has had 28 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 391,313 positive cases (an increase of 4,078 over the previous day) and 3,420 deaths, an increase of 107 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 17,372, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 4,794 positive, Eau Claire has seen 7,854 positive, Jackson has seen 1,738 positive, Marathon has seen 9,811 positive and Taylor has seen 1,205 positive.

Marathon has had 124 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 58 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 52 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 4 people die from the virus.
