State Coronavirus Numbers from Sunday Afternoon; Peak Time Still April 27th; State and Clark County Drop in Social Distancing Ef

-Taking a look at the state numbers in regards to coronavirus cases, as of 2pm yesterday, the state has 25,169 negative tests, 2,267 positive cases and 68 deaths.

Of those cases 624, or 28%, needed to be hospitalized. Clark County still has 7 positive cases and 78 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 16 positive and 414 negative, Eau Claire has 21 positive and 824 negative, Wood has 2 positive and 209 negative, Marathon has 12 positive and 289 negative and Taylor still has 0 positive and 45 negative. Wisconsin’s Peak Time for the virus, according to the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation, is still April 27th. 2,499 beds will be needed during the peak time and Wisconsin has 5,364 available. 376 ICU beds will be needed and Wisconsin only has 172 available, meaning they’re 204 short. The website Unacast, as a part of a COVID-19 tool kit, has released grades for each state and every county in the state regarding how well they’re following social distancing procedures using cell phone data.

Overall, the state of Wisconsin has dropped. On Wednesday of last week, the state had received a grade of C. Now, the state has received a grade of D meaning that many people are still making non-essential travel trips and not practicing social distancing as well as they should. Unfortunately, Clark County has dropped to a grade of F. For our neighboring counties, Taylor, Chippewa and Jackson received a grade of F. Eau Claire and Marathon received a grade of D. Wood County received a grade of D-.
