(Hub City Times) -Marshfield officials and the faith community are banding together to provide support to local residents. In a joint effort with the city’s faith community, Mayor Bob McManus introduced a volunteer-led “Hopeline” of community members “who will listen, offer support and most importantly, provide hope for those who need it.” In just over a week, the faith-based group and Marshfield’s Communications Department, assisting through the use of the Marshfield Media Access platforms, formed a Marshfield Community Hopeline (MCHL), equipped to point anyone to available local services such as formal counseling, meal options, health care, and other resources.
The MCHL will be available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m. by calling 715-384-3188, or visit www.mchopeline.org.
