Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports at their meeting last week.The council heard the Library Board report from their meeting on March 17th. They discussed the librarians’ reports and they approved the hiring of Custom Home Repairs to repair the front steps and surrounding concrete for a price of $3,950.00 with Listeman Funds. They also approved the Library Director and Assistants job description updates, approved filing the DPI annual report, and approved to close the Library until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak. They also approved the payments of bills, heard updates on donation and carryover funds and stated that all community events have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus National Health Emergency restrictions.
They also heard the Planning Commission report from their meeting on March 17th. This was the meeting that approved the zoning amendment of a property, the abandonment of two alleys in the city and the building of a new cemetery and park building, which the council all approved.
