There's only five more full days until Wiscosin Farm Technology Days opens at Malm's Rolling Acres northwest of Loyal. Appearing on our Viewpoint program Thursday morning, Farm Technology Days general manager Glenn Thompson said they expect an average of 20,000 paid attendees per day at the show, which will run Tuesday through Thursday. Many of the over 160 tents are now in place, actual roads have been formed throughout the 60-acre "tent city", which will be Clark County's busiest city for the three days next week.
USDA Under Secretary Dr. Jame Butler will attend the show on Wednesday. "He's responsible for farm and foreign agriculture including a lot of work in international trade. He's going to hold a press conference in the beef tent, then he'll visit various sectors of the show."
With construction of Tent City still underway, Thompson lauded Farm Technology days volunteers for "putting their shoulder to the grindstone" and predicted it was going to be a great show.
WCCN/WPKG will be broadcasting live from Farm Technology Days all three days next week. For more information, you can visit the Farm Technology Days website at wisconsinagconnection.com/ftd2005.
