WISCONSIN OFFICIALS REACT TO LONDON ATTACK

Wisconsin's homeland security adviser was on a conference call today with the national director. State National Guard Adjutant General Al Wilkening says he was told there's no credible threat to the United States, or to Wisconsin specifically. But state and local officials were encouraged by national Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff to enhance security for mass transit systems in major metro areas.Gov. Doyle has issued a statement condeming the attacks and encouraging Wisconsinites to go about their everday business. He said Wisconsin is prepared to respond if such an attack would occur here.
