Woman Arrested After Fake Threats Regarding the Stanley-Boyd School District

-A woman was arrested after an incident involving the Stanley-Boyd School District and the Bolton Refuge House in Eau Claire.On Tuesday, the Stanley-Boyd School District was on a soft hold because of threats regarding the Bolton Refuge House. According to the Eau Claire Police Department, 23-year-old Brittany Frane said she, and her family, were getting threatening messages from her ex-boyfriend. She showed officers the message. However, while investigating, it was determined that Frane was sending the messages to herself and her family through an app that distorts the original message.
Frane was arrested and booked into the Eau Clark County Jail on Wednesday. She’s scheduled to appear in court on March 18th.
