Commodity Prices for December 2019

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The December 2019 average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.56 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.This was four cents higher than November and 18-cents above the previous December. Soybeans averaged $8.48 per bushel, up nine-cents from November, but three-cents lower than the previous December. Oat prices were $2.87 per bushel, 58-cents lower for the month and down 40 cents for the year. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $229.00 per ton in December, up $12.00 from November and $51.00 above December 2018.
The alfalfa hay price averaged $242.00 per ton, up $16.00 for the month and $56.00 higher for the year. The other hay price averaged $182.00, unchanged from November, but up $27.00 from the December 2018 price.
