Three More Counties Have Deer Test Positive for CWD

(WRN) -Three more counties had wild deer test positive for chronic wasting disease in 2019.Dunn, Marathon and Sheboygan counties bring to 30 the total number of counties where the disease has been verified in wild herds since CWD was first detected in 2002. There have been more than 6500 positives from some 245-thousand deer tested for CWD since then.
The majority of confirmed cases come from what the DNR calls the "Southern Farmland Zone," along a line from Vernon County in the west to Ozaukee County in the east.
