Monday, January 27th, 2020 -- 12:53 PM
-Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville is one of Clark County’s largest employers and provides many economic and quality of life benefits to the community. In August 2019, MMC-N held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new hospital facility. The new hospital will be part of a larger Campus development that includes spaces for an infusion center, pharmacy, optometrist, YMCA wellness center, and skilled nursing home. In anticipation of this project, the City of Neillsville, Clark County Economic Development Corporation, MMC-N, West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (WCWRPC), and other community partners joined together to support a study of the potential impacts of the MMC-N Campus on the overall economy of the Neillsville area.
On Wednesday, February 12th, WCWRPC staff will present the findings of this economic impact study, including a discussion on the local housing market as well as potential goals and strategies to prepare for and capture related economic opportunities. The presentation will begin at 6:00 PM at the Clark Cultural ART, CART, Center at 201 E. 4th Street in Neillsville. The public is invited to attend and learn more about how the MMC-N Campus development may impact the local economy.
