Greenwood City Council Discusses Well Rehabilitation

-The Greenwood City Council discussed some well rehabilitation at their meeting last week.The council approved the Cahoy Group to do rehabilitation of Well #11 and Well #16 and replace pumps for $27,280.00. The council also discussed changing devices for reading water meters, but it was tabled to the February meeting so the Public Works Department can get a quote. The council also approved Crane Engineering quote for $15,942.00 for complete upgrade/more user-friendly panel of the main lift station. The council also approved the upgrade and installation of Tough Books and towers for the Police Department at a cost $970.00 for the towers and $4,285 for Tough book plus installation. The council also discussed repairs to the 2005 dump truck and approved not exceeding $3,000.00 in emergency repairs and they approved the $75 fee for a booth at the Clark County Business-to-Business Expo & Career Fair on Wednesday, April 22nd. The council also heard the Police Report.
The overtime report was shared and it was suggested that since they are participating in Time Clock that the mayor & council can now view at their discretion. They decided, for now, to allow Department Heads to use their preferred form of reporting overtime hours. It was also stated the radios and body cam are in and an officer is still on leave. The council also heard the Public Works Report. The 2000 dump truck fuel tank was repaired, Christmas lights/decorations were removed and they’ve been busy with snow removal/eliminating excess snow piles. The council also heard the Utility Report and Lane Tanks will be doing upcoming inspections of the reservoir and water tower. Finally, the council approved a Planning Commission Item to rezone TID 3 from Single Family Residential to Multi-Family Residential.
