(WRN) -There's no clear winner between the President and Democrats in the new Marquette Law School Poll.Poll director Charles Franklin says all of the matchups between the President and the leading Democrat challengers remain inside the margin of error, despite steady gains by former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders.
"But neither side has built up a lead, or an across-the-board advantage."
Franklin says that even though the numbers are still inside the margin of error, two candidates have been gaining traction.
"The sort of steady improvement in Biden and Sanders numbers, even though the race is still way too tight to say there's a real need, is worth noting."
Franklin says he's expecting a close race, like usual.
"The conclusion of all of this is that we've still look like I'm beginning to think we'll look for a long time: a real tossup that can fluctuate a little bit one way or another."
Franklin says he suspects the race will likely remain a tossup all the way heading into November.
