(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -New figures from the state's agriculture department show that about 25 percent of the Chronic Wasting Disease cases on Wisconsin deer farms over the past decade were actually reported during the past year.Of the 400 cases of CWD confirmations since 2010, more than 100 of them were recorded in 2019. Wisconsin has 338 registered deer farms and hunting ranches in business.
Wildlife experts with the agency do not know why there has been an influx in CWD cases on private properties.
