Wisconsin Students Can Earn Extra Cash For College

Wisconsin students who are involved in their own business enterprise can earn some extra cash for college by competing in the 2020 Wisconsin Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award program.Wisconsin Ag Connection reports that the contest is organized by Ernst & Young, Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. To quality for the award, applicants must be in grades 5 through 12 and have successfully turned a business idea into a reality. They must either be the owner or manager of a private or public company, and the business must have been in operation since April of 2019.
The winner will receive a scholarship or cash prize of $1,000 and will also be recognized at the Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame and Ernst & Young Regional Award Banquet. Applications must be submitted by February 29. For more information or to obtain an application, call 608-2670-9253.
