Loyal Auctioneer Heading to Qualifying Event for World Livestock Auctioneer Championship

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Stockmen's Livestock in Kansas will host the final of three regional qualifying events for the World Livestock Auctioneer Championship.The contest, which includes three contestants from Wisconsin, will be held Wednesday in Overland Park. A total of 36 auctioneers will compete for a top 10 placing, granting them a spot in the semi-finals for the 2020 WLAC at Dickson Regional Livestock Center in Dickson, Tennessee. Wisconsin's competitors include Jacob Hills, Ridgeway; Kyle Mueller, Bloomington; and Mark Oberholtzer, Loyal. Each qualifying event is a live sale where the contestants will auction off eight drafts of livestock to actual bidders.
They are judged on the clarity of their auction chant, professionalism and their ability to conduct the sale while catching bids. The winning auctioneer serves as a spokesperson and ambassador for the livestock marketing industry during their reign through direct outreach to livestock producers, auction visits and other public appearances throughout the year.
