Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association Turning 40
Friday, December 27th, 2019 -- 10:32 AM
The Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association is about to turn 40 years old and the group wants to celebrate by remembering some of its founding leaders.Wisconsin Ag Connection reports that during the group's state convention in Milwaukee this February, organizers want to take time to reflect on legends like Floyd Doering, Virgil Martinson and Arnold Cordes who gave tremendous support through their positions at the Department of Public Instruction and local high school agriculture departments.
Darlene Arneson is serving as the event's chair person. She has been an Alumni member since she served as a state FFA officer in the 1980s. She said many of the past FFA Alumni presidents and numerous National FFA Alumni Council members from Wisconsin will be recognized.
The group is also looking for past convention programs and memorabilia to be put on display.
The 2020 FFA Alumni Convention will be held at the Marriott Milwaukee West Hotel from January 31 to February 2.
