SEARCH FOR SOURCE OF HUMAN HAIR ENDS; NO BODY FOUND
Monday, May 2nd, 2005 -- 3:01 PM
After three hours searching the area where a clump of human hair was found last week, the Wood County Sheriff's Rescue team and three private divers called off the search of an area near Lake Dexter on Saturday. Lt. Bob Levendoske of the Wood County Sheriff's Department said he was "fairly certain" after Saturday's search that nothing suspicious was in the Yellow River beneath the Dexter Dam. It was the second time divers scoured the area, and officials don't plan to search again. Authorities suspected a body might be in the dam area after two fishermen from Marshfield snagged hair a week ago. The hair was sent to the State Crime Lab, where tests determined it was from a human.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
