(Marshfield News Herald) -A Wood County judge set $1,000 cash bonds Thursday for each of three teenagers arrested after a bomb threat was made at Marshfield High School.Gage A. Plechaty, 17, Jared E. Roggenbauer, 17, and Bradley E. Hendrickson, 18, all are expected to be charged with being a party to the crime of making a terrorist threat, according to court documents. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 3½ years in prison. Roggenbauer reported finding a threat written in the men's bathroom at Marshfield High School, 1401 E. Becker Road at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, according to court documents. The message said a bomb would explode in the school at 1 p.m. Officials evacuated the school and cancelled class for the rest of the day, according to court documents. An officer looked at surveillance video and saw Roggenbauer going into the bathroom about 45 minutes before he reported finding the threat, according to court documents.
Officials talked to Roggenbauer on Wednesday, and he admitted to writing the threat in the bathroom, according to court documents. Roggenbauer told officials he wrote the threat to get out of school. Roggenbauer said Plechaty and Hendrickson were talking to him in a class and said Roggenbauer should write a bomb threat to get out of school, according to documents. Plechaty said he couldn't write the threat because he was on probation and didn't want to get in trouble, Roggenbauer told police. Plechaty and Hendrickson went to the men's room to make sure it was clear of staff and then told Roggenbauer everything was clear, according to court documents.
Police searched the school and no bomb was found, according to court documents. Roggenbauer, Hendrickson and Plechaty all are scheduled to appear in Wood County Circuit Court again on Dec. 26.
