Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Farmland Preservation Plan and More

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting on Thursday with a presentation on the Farmland Preservation Plan.They also heard a presentation on active shooter training and security at the courthouse. The board then approved the appointment of Dean Zank to the City of Thorp TIF District. The board also approved the 2nd reading, making them policy, of two ordinances regarding Manure Storage and Forest and Parks. They also approved revision to the employee handbook regarding benefits for 2020 and the 2020 Forestry Annual Work Plan. The board also approved an increase in the mileage and meal reimbursement for volunteer transportation drivers. With the increase, drivers will get $.55 per mile, $7 for breakfast, $12 for lunch and $20 for dinner.
The board also approved the Farmland Preservation Plan. The board approved leasing 5 acres of land to Richard Price in the Town of Worden for ag purposes for 5 years at $650 per year. The board also approved the Community Bloc Grant Agreement. One item that was postponed was a resolution appointing an Administrative Coordinator for the county.
