President Asked to Restore Markets for Farmers and Biofuel Producers

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Farmers, biofuel workers and community advocates from across the country sent a letter to the President this week, asking him to restore markets for American farmers and biofuel producers.The memo was signed by over 1,700 biodiesel and ethanol supporters across 41 states. It stressed that the Environmental Protection Agency's draft 2020 plan under the Renewable Fuel Standard accounts for only a fraction of the biofuel demand lost to the agency's abuse of Small Refinery Exemptions.
It further stated that only the president's direct intervention can help address the issue. From Wisconsin, 70 farmers, commodity group leaders and biofuel business people signed the letter. It was hand delivered to the White House on Wednesday.
