Loyal School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Loyal School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Wednesday.Elementary Principal Nancy Popp reported on the SOLES craft fair and assembly, parent teacher conferences attendance, the Food Pantry’s success in gathering 1428 items, the Elementary concert directed by Curtis Hanson and Joe Anderson with many staff assisting, the 4K Hometown Village trip, the Autumn Tietz’ art projects throughout the building and the recent PLC Conference regenerating the Math & English focus. High School Principal Chris Lindner reinforced the PLC Conference value plus, reviewed the ALICE drill, discussed Wanda Boldin’s efforts with the 7/8th grade Healthy Lifestyle presentation, fair attendance, the 7-9th grade vaping assembly, Jessica Zarnke’s Personal Finance mock interviews with local businesses, the UW-SP Job Fair attended, the NHS Tour of Homes and last week’s concert coordination with Granton.
He also mentioned the FCCLA Treats for Troops, the high school chorus visits to Marshfield senior centers, the upcoming Tasha Schuh and Nathan Harmon assemblies, Wrestling’s success at Glenwood City, the Girls basketball title during the Cranberry Classic and a ‘Thank You’ from Laurie Curtis was shared. Interim Administrator Mark Lacke provided an update on the superintendent search and provided dates for some other committee meetings. In closed session, the board heard of some food service staffing ideas from Jared Zemke, and made a change based off of his ideas. They also discussed the vacant HS math position and considered superintendent search options.
