Greenwood School Board Discusses Excellent Marks on State Report Card

-The Greenwood School Board discussed the school report card at their meeting on Tuesday.The District was ranked 39th out of 419 districts and it was stated that the district, the students, staff, parents and community have a lot to be proud of. The board also heard an update on the 9-12 ELA Curriculum adoption process. In policy matters, the board approved the second reading of select policies in the 0000s-5000s in the policy update. They also approved policy updates for select policies in the 0000s-5000s. The board completed the first reading of select policies in the 6000s-9000s in the policy update. The board also directed administration to review Core Values and indicators and collected data/examples to show progress and commitment and they reviewed selected resolutions to be voted on at the WASB Delegate Assembly at the State Education Convention in Milwaukee on January 22nd.
The board also received a required update on School Violence Drills conducted in each school and they reviewed a revised Lawn Mowing Request for Proposal packet. The Request for Proposal will be sent to the TRG for posting. Finally, the board heard some committee reports. The Employee Relations Committee reviewed the 2020-2021 District Calendar. A few changes were proposed. Discussion regarding “stay” interviews will continue at the January committee meeting. An amended calendar will be brought to the board in January.
