Marshfield High School Students Getting a Lesson on Threats and Safety
Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 -- 10:23 AM
(WDLB) -Students at Marshfield High School will be getting a lesson today on school threats and safety. The Marshfield School District is holding a program to address those issues, in the wake of two separate threats at the High School in recent weeks. There were several threats made at the district since Dec. 9. Two teenage girls were arrested in connection with one threat that referenced a bomb at M-H-S on Dec. 18. The district is still investigating a second threat that was found written on a bathroom stall and mentioned this Thursday, Dec. 19, however, district officials don't believe there's any actual threat. Still, there will be increased law enforcement present at Marshfield High School tomorrow and Thursday.
At today’s program, school and district officials plan to talk about the importance of safety, the school's response to threats, legal consequences of threats, and options for students needing support. The district is encouraging parents to talk to their children about the program.
