Wisconsin Elections Commission Deadlocked on How to Purge Voter Rolls
Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 -- 10:15 AM
(WRN) -The Wisconsin Elections Commission has deadlocked on how to address a judge's order to remove thousands of voters from the rolls. The six member commission - evenly divided between Republican and Democratic appointees - voted 3-3 Monday on several motions addressing Friday's ruling by Ozaukee County Circuit Court Judge Paul Malloy. Malloy ordered the commission to immediately remove some 234,000 voters from the rolls, because they are believed to have moved.
His ruling is expected to be appealed, and Monday's tie votes mean for now the state will not take any action.
