Two Teens Arrested for Bomb Threat at Marshfield School District

Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 -- 10:33 AM

-The Marshfield Police Department has arrested two 17-year-old girls for a bomb threat at the Marshfield School District.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, a message found on a stall in a bathroom referenced a bomb threat and the date of December 18th. After an investigation, officers did arrest the two high girls on suspicion of making terroristic threats. The department will continue to have an increased presence at the district this week.

The department is asking for the Wood County District Attorney to file charges against the girls. In Wisconsin, 17-year-old juveniles are charged as adults. If convicted, the girls face a maximum of 3½ years in prison and $10,000 fine.
