Mixed Commodity Prices for October

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The October average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.76 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.That was up seven cents from September and 38-cents more than the previous October. Soybeans averaged $8.53 per bushel, up 36-cents for the month, but 17-cents lower for the year. Oat prices were $3.57 per bushel--50-cents above September and 83-cents more than October 2018. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $193.00 per ton in October, up $17.00 from September and $38.00 above last October.
The alfalfa hay price averaged $213.00, which was $23.00 more than last month and $48.00 higher than last year. And the other hay price averaged $149.00, up $14.00 from September and $17.00 higher than the previous October price.
