Today is Snowplow Driver Appreciation Day in Wisconsin.Motorists are urged to say “thank you” by driving safely near plow trucks all winter long. Snowplow drivers are critical to the safe operation of more than 115,000 miles of state and local roads throughout Wisconsin. Governor Tony Evers has proclaimed Monday, November 25, as Snowplow Driver Appreciation Day to thank the many winter maintenance professionals who work long hours in tough conditions to help keep life on time for the rest of us. As part of a century-old partnership, WisDOT contracts with all 72 county highway departments for winter maintenance on state roads.
