Friday, November 22nd, 2019 -- 9:15 AM
Your Thanksgiving meal will likely cost slightly more to prepare next week when compared to the previous year's holiday.Wisconsin Ag Connection reports that according to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, a traditional holiday meal for a family of ten will cost around $61.57--which is up $1.43 from last year's average. The average price for a 16-pound turkey in Wisconsin supermarkets was $2.72 more than last year at $21.76.
Year-to-year savings were found in the costs of relish trays, fresh cranberries, pie shells, cube stuffing, green beans, and Russet potatoes. But whole milk, cream, rolls, pumpkin pie mix, sweet potatoes, miscellaneous ingredients, frozen peas were all higher than last November's survey.
